Analog-To-Digital Converter (ADC) A component that converts analog sound signals to digital for processing by a computer.
Bit Depth The number of bits used to represent the audio signal, affecting dynamic range and fidelity.
Digital Audio Converter (DAC) A component that converts digital audio signals to analog for playback through speakers or headphones.
External Sound Card A sound card that connects to a computer externally via USB or other interfaces.
MIDI Controller A device used to control musical instruments and software via MIDI signals.
Sample Rate The number of audio samples captured or played back per second, measured in Hertz (Hz).
Sound Card A hardware component that allows a computer to produce sound.
