Keyword Definition
Circuit A closed loop that allows electricity to flow and power devices.
Current The flow of electric charge in a circuit, measured in amperes.
Latching Switch A switch that remains in its current state until toggled again.
Mechanical Action The physical movement required to operate a switch.
Momentary Contact A type of switch where the circuit is only closed while the button is being pressed.
Momentary Switch A type of switch that is only active when pressed.
NC Push Button A button that breaks a circuit when pressed and completes the circuit when released.
NO Push Button A button that completes a circuit when pressed and breaks the circuit when released.
Push Button A mechanical device that activates a circuit when pressed.
Tactile Feedback A sensation provided by a mechanism to indicate that the button has been pressed.
Voltage The electrical potential difference that drives current flow, measured in volts.
