Loop cards are a great game that can be played individually or as a class. They are perfect for review key vocabulary or questions at the end of a topic or when revising for an exam.
Instructions
Cut out the cards from the paper horizontally (but don't cut them in half!) and then shuffle them.
Now start joining each question on the right hand side of the card to the matching answer on the next card.
Carry on until all the cards loop together and you have competed the game!
Hint: Make sure that you set your paper to portrait to print 4 cards per sheet of A4 paper.
A system designed to monitor and control energy consumption levels in heating systems.
Washing Machine
An appliance designed to automate the process of cleaning textiles using water, detergents, and mechanical actions.
Temperature Sensors
Devices that detect the current temperature and send data to the control system.
Actuators
Mechanical components that perform actions based on signals received from the control system, such as opening valves and rotating drums.
Heating Control System
A system designed to regulate the temperature within a space, adjusting the heat output to achieve a desired thermal environment.
Load Sensor
A mechanism that measures the weight of laundry to optimize water and energy usage.
Microcontroller
A compact integrated circuit that serves as the brain of the washing machine, processing inputs and executing pre-programmed cycles.
Solenoids
Electromagnetic devices that create linear motion by converting electrical energy into mechanical movement.
Zoning
The practice of dividing a building into separate areas for independent temperature control.
On/Off Control Systems
Simple systems that turn heating on or off based on the setpoint, activating heating when the temperature falls below and turning it off when it exceeds.
