What are loop cards?

Loop cards are a great game that can be played individually or as a class. They are perfect for review key vocabulary or questions at the end of a topic or when revising for an exam.

Instructions

  1. Cut out the cards from the paper horizontally (but don't cut them in half!) and then shuffle them.
  2. Now start joining each question on the right hand side of the card to the matching answer on the next card.
  3. Carry on until all the cards loop together and you have competed the game!

Hint: Make sure that you set your paper to portrait to print 4 cards per sheet of A4 paper.

Edit Vocab

The product of the force and the perpendicular distance from the line of action of the force to a reference point.
Moment Center
The point about which moments are calculated, often chosen for convenience.
Torque
A measure of the rotational effect of the force, calculated as the moment of force multiplied by the length of the lever arm.
Moment Arm
Same as lever arm, the distance from the axis of rotation to the line of action of a force.
Couple
A pair of forces equal in magnitude, opposite in direction, and parallel but not collinear, causing rotation without translation.
Equilibrium
The state in which the sum of clockwise moments is equal to the sum of counterclockwise moments around a point.
Lever Arm
The perpendicular distance between the line of action of the force and the axis of rotation.
