What are loop cards?

Loop cards are a great game that can be played individually or as a class. They are perfect for review key vocabulary or questions at the end of a topic or when revising for an exam.

Instructions

  1. Cut out the cards from the paper horizontally (but don't cut them in half!) and then shuffle them.
  2. Now start joining each question on the right hand side of the card to the matching answer on the next card.
  3. Carry on until all the cards loop together and you have competed the game!

Hint: Make sure that you set your paper to portrait to print 4 cards per sheet of A4 paper.

Edit Vocab

A type of pipeline hazard where a later instruction depends on the result of an earlier instruction that has not yet completed.
Pipeline Hazard
A condition in processor pipelining where the next instruction cannot execute in the next stage due to a dependency or conflict.
Instruction Pipeline
A series of stages through which instructions pass in a processor pipeline, each stage carrying out a specific operation.
Processor Pipelining
A technique in computer architecture that allows multiple instruction stages to be overlapped in order to improve efficiency and performance.
Structural Hazard
A condition in processor pipelining where the hardware is unable to support overlapping of certain stages.
Pipeline Flush
The process of discarding all instructions in a pipeline due to a misprediction or hazard, and restarting the pipeline.
Hazard
A hazard in processor pipelining refers to a condition that prevents the next instruction in a sequence from executing during its designated clock cycle.
