What are loop cards?

Loop cards are a great game that can be played individually or as a class. They are perfect for review key vocabulary or questions at the end of a topic or when revising for an exam.

Instructions

  1. Cut out the cards from the paper horizontally (but don't cut them in half!) and then shuffle them.
  2. Now start joining each question on the right hand side of the card to the matching answer on the next card.
  3. Carry on until all the cards loop together and you have competed the game!

Hint: Make sure that you set your paper to portrait to print 4 cards per sheet of A4 paper.

Edit Vocab

A data compression technique that assigns shorter codes to symbols that occur most frequently in a data stream.
Image Compression
Reducing the file size of an image while preserving its quality and visual information.
Color Bleeding
Blurring of colors or bleeding of colors outside their boundaries in a compressed image
Lossy Compression
Reducing the size of a file by sacrificing a portion of its data, leading to a smaller size yet reduced quality.
Blockiness
Visible grid-like patterns that result from dividing images into blocks for compression
Compression
The process of reducing the size of data by encoding it in a more efficient representation.
Ring Artifacts
Circular or ring-shaped distortions that occur around edges in compressed images
GIF
A lossy compression format used to compress animated images.
Bitrate
The number of bits that are processed or transmitted per unit of time, typically measured in bits per second (bps)
Lossless Compression
Reducing the size of data without any loss of information.
