What are loop cards?

Loop cards are a great game that can be played individually or as a class. They are perfect for review key vocabulary or questions at the end of a topic or when revising for an exam.

Instructions

  1. Cut out the cards from the paper horizontally (but don't cut them in half!) and then shuffle them.
  2. Now start joining each question on the right hand side of the card to the matching answer on the next card.
  3. Carry on until all the cards loop together and you have competed the game!

Hint: Make sure that you set your paper to portrait to print 4 cards per sheet of A4 paper.

Edit Vocab

The part of a control system that converts the controller's output into a physical action or signal.
Reference Input
The desired value or setpoint that a control system tries to achieve.
Brushless DC Motor
A motor that uses electronic commutation instead of brushes to control the current flow in the windings, resulting in better efficiency and longevity.
Error
The difference between the desired value and the actual value of the controlled variable.
Open Loop Control System
A control system where the output is not fed back to the input.
Integral Control
A control strategy that accumulates the error signal over time to eliminate steady-state errors.
Servo Motor
A motor that operates as a closed-loop system, using feedback to control the position, speed, and torque accurately.
Linear Actuator
An electrical actuator that produces linear motion, often used in applications such as robotics or automation systems.
Pulse Width Modulation
A technique used to control the position of a servo motor by varying the width of electrical pulses.
Solenoid
An electromagnetic device that uses a coil of wire to generate a magnetic field, which in turn produces mechanical motion.
